Jeannette Brock specialises in ACC law/legislation, advising and assisting ACC claimants to get what they are entitled, within the guidelines of the previous and current Act. Having been a claimant herself, Jeannette uses her excellent mediating skills and can offer useful insights into the proceedings to help you get the best possible results.
As part of the management of your ACC claim, we will initially meet with you to discuss your needs. If you are happy to proceed with the service, we will request a copy of your file. When necessary we will attend medical assessments, represent you at your Mediation or Review hearings, and lodge an appeal to be taken to a hearing at the District Court.
We will endeavour to resolve your issue before applying for a review or appeal hearing. If we unable to get your decision settled at this early stage, we may have to make a referral to one of our specialists in Auckland who will provide a thorough report. These reports are very necessary if we are to proceed to a Review or Appeal hearing.
During the management of your claim, we promise to keep fees reasonable. We do not charge an hourly rate but usually a set fee depending on the type of dispute you have with ACC. These fees will be discussed at the initial meeting. For outstanding weekly compensation we have a no win – no fee policy, but if the dispute is settled in your favour we will charge you a percentage of what is owing to you.
